Recognizing Gifts

We are grateful to everyone who supports our hospitals. While we understand that the best reward for your contribution is the satisfaction that comes from knowing you have made a significant difference in the lives of the patients, medical professionals, and families who benefit directly from your gift, we also want to provide personalized, thoughtful recognition to our donors. We’ll work closely with you to ensure that you are recognized in a way that is meaningful to you and appropriate for your gift.

Campaign pledges will be announced at the time of written commitment and formally recognized once fulfilled. Standard recognition for major gifts includes a listing on our donor walls, opportunities to meet the medical teams who benefit from your gift, publicity where appropriate, and special keepsakes. In many cases, we will want to celebrate your gift publicly, but please let us know if you prefer to remain anonymous.

Certain gifts make the naming of areas within the hospital facilities possible. The Victoria Hospitals Foundation’s recognition policy reflects that the naming of public assets is guided by the BC Naming Privileges Policy and subject to final approval by the Vancouver Island Health Authority’s board of directors.
